As mayor of Mt. Pleasant, I realized that Isabella and Midland Counties needed an advocate in Lansing to work hard to get us the resources we need to keep us safe.
I will work hard to get the funding we need to fix our crumbling roads, including those that were washed out by flood more than a year ago and remain unusable to this day.
I will make modernizing infrastructure a priority, whether this means winning state dollars to fix the sewage system in Nottawa Township or advocating for broadband Internet access throughout the district.
I will prioritize public safety, ensuring that our public safety officers have the training and resources they need to provide community policing, and I will fight to protect the hard-earned retirement savings of first-responders.
I will advocate for common-sense, gun-safety laws that protect citizens while still respecting Michigan’s hunting traditions.
